How soon do I eat after a workout?




So i think alot of people ive trained and people who see me leave the gym after a workout dont completely believe i practice what i preach for post workout meals. They think i just leave the gym and go to a fucking party or something, or smoke a bunch of weed, and dont stick to my meal plan. This is not completely true. Do i drink alcohol right after i workout? Yes, sometimes. But if you think i dont eat multiple meals after a workout you are completely wrong. I never do a weighttraining workout and just get drunk and fall asleep till the next day. That would make the workout i did completely pointless, no stregnth gains, no muscle gains, and definitely no fatloss. After a workout i believe you can go up to an hour max without eating. Is this scientifically correct? I honestly dont know. Has it allowed me and my clients to make the progress we wanted? Yes, absolutley.
Heres how it works. After a good weightraining session your muscle fibers have been broken down, you need to give it nutrients to repair them. Last thing you want to do is fall asleep for 10hours without eating. By the time you wake up you probably lost muscle mass. So feed those motherfuckers. But that doesnt mean leave the gym and imediately cram down 2 chicken breasts and a tupperware of brown rice while you are still fucking pumped, lol. If youre somehardcore bodybuilder, sure you can slam that protein shake right after with fucking maltodetrixin. But for the normal guy you are going to be ok not eating for 30min to an hour, just dont go over 1 hour. I mean sometimes its nearly impossible to eat right after a good workout. Youre pumped, adrenaline is still flowing, you need some time to relax.
