My new favorite trick for easy to peel hard-boiled eggs.

So my new roommate recently got me back into liking hard-boiled eggs. The reason I gave it up in the past is because I got tired of eggs that were hard to peel and it just felt like it was taking too much effort to be able to eat them. So this time I was like, " There's gotta be a video these days that has a solution to this bs." And sure enough, there was. I found this one done by a professional chef( Sorry, forgot his name and I can't find the video now). And this has to be the BEST way possible, I wish I knew this my whole life. So what you do is BEFORE you cook the eggs you smack them with a spoon to make a bit of cracks on one end of the eggs( preferably on the fat end). Don't worry, nothing will leak out when you cook them. If you ever noticed in the past when you boiled eggs, the ones that cracked during the cooking were usually the easiest to peel! So imagine all of your eggs being like that, it's awesome. And so far all the eggs I cooked like this are easy to peel, not a single difficult one. And you won't even need to put them in an " ice bath," they're pretty much ready to eat once they're done cooking( unless you want them cold). I cook mine for 12min now( start time is as soon as the water is boiling). If you already knew this trick you are lucky, but please pass it on.

( I took this pic of an egg after I cooked it. It cracked more during the cooking, so about half of the cracks you see were not there before). It was insanely easy to peel.
