Realistically, if you choose to think with your feelings while ignoring facts.
If the results of that, end up hurting your feelings.
You deserve that, because you ignored the facts in the first place.
I used to listen to this good bodybuilding podcast a long time ago and I remember one guy saying, "MOOD is everything." Before he got to that point he was going on and on about training, science stuff and diet. But it really is true. Because you can be depressed and disciplined, sometimes you HAVE to suffer. When you achieve results from that, you will achieve a better mood( Hopefully, at least a little anyway). Usually this will motivate you to redo the same process, get more results, learn more, and once again result in a even better mood. (Obviously being in a good mood while being a dumb ass everyday is a bad idea, but I think you get the difference.)
So my new roommate recently got me back into liking hard-boiled eggs. The reason I gave it up in the past is because I got tired of eggs that were hard to peel and it just felt like it was taking too much effort to be able to eat them. So this time I was like, " There's gotta be a video these days that has a solution to this bs." And sure enough, there was. I found this one done by a professional chef( Sorry, forgot his name and I can't find the video now). And this has to be the BEST way possible, I wish I knew this my whole life. So what you do is BEFORE you cook the eggs you smack them with a spoon to make a bit of cracks on one end of the eggs( preferably on the fat end). Don't worry, nothing will leak out when you cook them. If you ever noticed in the past when you boiled eggs, the ones that cracked during the cooking were usually the easiest to peel! So imagine all of your eggs being like that, it's awesome. And so far all the eggs I cooked like this are easy to peel, not a single difficult one. And you won't even need to put them in an " ice bath," they're pretty much ready to eat once they're done cooking( unless you want them cold). I cook mine for 12min now( start time is as soon as the water is boiling). If you already knew this trick you are lucky, but please pass it on.
( I took this pic of an egg after I cooked it. It cracked more during the cooking, so about half of the cracks you see were not there before). It was insanely easy to peel. This is why it's important to not get too upset over things that barely matter or don't matter. Because you could be using that focus and energy on things that are actually important to you.
You should expect dumb people to be dumb for a long time, sometimes a REALLY long time. And honestly that's my personal experience for myself when I was younger. At times I was just literally a dumb ass and knew it, but I couldn't really break the spell lol. And then later on I witnessed or was involved with people like this, sometimes my own family members. And it took sometimes 8yrs for some of them to realize even the most basic, but important things. I don't know what causes this, but sometimes it's just how long it's going to take.
My best advice is to avoid people like this unless you NEED to talk to them.
So what this saying means is not just that you cannot see your own ears without a reflective surface. But sometimes we are not able to see what we are doing or how we are behaving.
And when I say try, I don't just mean physically, but especially with researching and learning about how to train more effectively. I thought I knew everything at some points, but I didn't. I still don't. It's ok if this happens to you too, but you are going to have to start all over, again LOL! Not literally, but you get what I mean.
